We've binged on sushi, scoffed ceviche but the current raw fish dish Londoner's can't get enough of is Poké. Pronounced Poh-Kay, it hails from Hawaii and is popping up on menus and food markets all over town. Even at last week's The Ned's opening party, forget about Cecconi's, everyone was elbowing to get into Kaia, an Asian fusion restuarant who specialise in Poké bowls. So what exactly is it? Essentially a fusion of sushi and ceviche, Poké combines cubes of raw fish, mainly tuna, marinated in soy or sesame with black rice and pickled vegetables. Packed full of flavours, textures, it's a punchy kick that is just as popular for lunch as it is come dinner time. Traditionally served in a bowl, from fancy Mayfair restaurants to street food stalls here's where to get your fix in London...

Ahi Poke, Fitzrovia

Specialising in build-your-own Poké bowls, at this Fitzrovia cafe you choose a base, quinoa, sushi rice or kale then choose your protein. With options including tuna, shrimp and salmon then top with sweet ponzu or kimchi cucumber.

Eat Poké London, Kerb

One of the first Poké providors in London, you'll find Eat Poke roaming around with Kerb, a street food market with outlets at Kings Cross, London Bridge and Camden Market to name a few. Perfect for lunch on-the-go their bowls are packed full of punchy Pacific flavours, think kelp noodles, wakame salad and tropical coconut sauce.

Black Roe, Mayfair

From the founder of Chotto Matte and Nobu comes this swanky Mayfair restaurant.  Specialising in Poké, we love their signature Black Roe yellow tail but they also do more hearty Hawaiian dishes like kalua pork belly and seabass with pineapple salsa.

Granger & Co, Clerkenwell

Fresh chunks of tuna, served with brown rice and fresh tomatoes make the Poké at Granger & Co feel postively wholesome. Not surprising really given Bill Granger's food mantra is all about Australia's sunny, easy-going and generous traits.  Green samphire and toasted buckwheat up the flavour while millennial pink tiling and copper light fittings make it all even more Instagrammable.

Honi Poké, Soho

At this Dean Street hangout you'll find salmon, tuna and octopus paired with sticky rice and nori seaweed. Made fresh to order and from £6.20 a bowl it's some of the best value Poké going.

Kaia, Bank

With a Poke menu co-curated by Insta's favourite foodie @ClerkenwellBoy,  the resulting bowls are unsurprisingly very social media friendly. They're also packed full of zingy flavours and at £9, one of the chepest eating options at The Ned. Good for when you're giving off that illusion of a champagne lifestyle on a cava budget.
