The setting...

In the past, we've enjoyed a Chanel supermarket, a casino and even spaceship and today's set didn't disappoint with the Grand Palais transformed into a woodland forest. There were real towering trees plus a moss covered floor complete with fallen branches and leaves which the models somehow effortlessly navigated. With your eyes closed you almost felt like you were in a real forest with a delicious earthy smell. And yes of course, it provided for brilliant Instagram fodder.

The crowd...

Lily Allen, Vanessa Paradis, Lara Stone, Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton all sat on the front row but our best spot of the day had to be fashion's favourite identical twins Ami and Aya Suzuki. Known collectively as Amiaya, the DJs from Tokyo are quickly becoming somewhat of a street style sensation. With their red patent macs, electric blue roll-necks, plus Chanel embossed rain hats covering their pink hued hair, we couldn't resist taking a pic either.

The jackets...

Karl gave Chanel's iconic tweed jackets, a series of modern updates. Some came with oversized lapels, billowing sleeves and leather trims. Whilst Adwoa Aboah rocked an XXL version and Edie Campbell a padded version, Yep, a Chanel puffer  jacket is now a thing. LOVE.

The accessories...

There were fuzzy tote bags, perspex cylinders and oversized embellished clutches that the models hugged close to their bodies. Crystal encrusted double CC earrings and dangling pearls. Long ombre scarves that were wrapped loosely around the models' necks twice plus plenty of leather gloves. In neon hues, they came in both long and short versions whilst jangly Chanel charm bracelets were worn over them. Upping the Kira Kira even further, were metallic gold over-the-knee boots. Definitely not made for forest walks.

The evening options...

Metallic, glittery trousers had us craving for a forest rave. In autumnal shades of burnt oranges and mossy greens, they were worn with pointy brogues paired with glittery socks. Elsewhere, there were longer length embellished coats with giant oversized collars whilst Kaia Gerber in a black layered lace dress with tiny embellished straps. Paired with 10 denier tights, pink gloves and flat shoes made for dancing, we can't see what modern starlet rocks it first.
